This ranch, established in 1849, this 60,00 acre ranch with 3000 feet of lake frontage boasts a restorative haven for nature's healing and deep rest. With opportunities to kayak, boat, fish, hike, horseback ride, sauna, and more, book your retreat accommadations today and prepare to center yourself through your choice of yoga and yoga therapy practices.

A dedicated coordinator helps families enjoy activities and three daily farm-fresh meals served in a rustic dining hall, removing the need to cook or clean. The ranch offers experiences for all ages: kids enjoy "free-range" fun like pony rides and games, adults can relax in the Longhorn Saloon or join dockside yoga, and seniors can appreciate the scenery from rocking chairs or a Green Lake boat cruise. At Flying U, every guest is treated like family.

During this short retreat, we offer many styles for ALL LEVELS of experience. Angela, your yoga therapist and hostess specializes in rehabilitation, chronic conditions, and nervous system regulation. Arrive Friday afternoon to settle in and ease your way into nourishing yoga therapy practices. We will conclude the retreat around 1pm on Monday afternoon with a closing ceremony. 

 

Our goal is to offer an affordable experience for all body types, including bodies in pain, 'dis-ease' and injury recovery. We empower or students by educating each participant on alignment, energy flow, fascia hydration, and trauma processing. Leave our retreat feeling refreshed and equipped to move through life in the most optimal way. 

Bring your family or group and stay in our shared house accommodations or rent one of our private rustic cabins equipped with a wood burning fireplace.

Flow yoga, or a dynamic style of yoga where poses are linked together with breath, creating a continuous flowing movement during practice. 

 

A slow-paced, meditative style of yoga where poses are held for 3-10 minutes to target deeper connective tissues.

Yoga poses are held or explored for longer periods, allowing for optimal alignment cues, breath practices, and meditation

 

A passive, meditative form of yoga that gives you space to soften, release, and relax into props or supports with a goal of sensation dissipating. 

 

"Yogic sleep" is a relaxation technique offering enhanced healing and repair benefits of actual sleep, while maintaining awareness. 

Where science meets yoga. Yoga therapy address all layers of your being (kosha's) with a gentle, safe, and comfortable approach, allowing for autonomy and workshoping throughout the class.  

 

During a gentle practice, students honor a specific set of techniques to address pain in the body and mind, to allow for nervous system re-regulation and breaking the cycle of pain. 

 

Teachers use specific language to create a space of inclusivity, safety, and support. This style of yoga offers postures and contemplations promoting trauma processing and empowering students with tools to overcome traumas.
